Pilates mat work
Matwork Pilates is based on Joseph Pilates’ original ‘CONTROLOGY’ system of exercises he devised using his inherent knowledge of sound bio-mechanical principles of movement and anatomy.
The full advanced repertoire is extremely challenging but the basics of his method are broken down into easier options, depending on the fitness level and injury status of each client,
and gradually added to from beginners level through intermediate until some of the more advanced moves are achievable in a correct and safe manner. This progression is challenging in itself and focuses the mind and body in a truly deep and profound way and is a total exercise technique in itself.
